Boys and girls who have received their First Holy Communion and are aged 9 or over are encouraged to join in the ministry of serving at the altar. Full training will be given.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion

The Ministers of Communion assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass; with Services of Word & Communion in the absence of a priest; with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, especially from noon to 12.55pm on weekdays; and by taking Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.

Children's Liturgy

At the 9.00am Mass, children (pre-First Holy Communion) are invited to go to the Lady Chapel as Mass begins, where they have their own Liturgy of the Word led by adults working on a rota. They rejoin the main congregation at the Preparation of the Gifts.
